Primary Purpose:

As part of the Towne Family, Branch Operations Managers have innumerable resources and affiliates readily available to ensure they can provide exquisite member service. Branch Operation Managers work in TowneBank Branches and partner closely with branch staff and the Branch Manager to offer a competitive array of business and personal financial services, delivered with only the highest ethical standards.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Ensuring that the branch is ready for business each day with all security measures taken, the staff is in place and ready to assist and that all cash and non-cash supplies are on hand
  • Directing and coordinating the daily activities of the team ensuring quality member service and adherence to established bank policies and procedures
  • Directly supervising both the teller line and the new accounts area
  • Performing scheduled audits, prepares required reports, reviews appropriate daily accounts and sends out member correspondence
  • Assisting members with more complicated issues such as overdrafts and insufficient funds, fee issues and disputed items and provides supervisory approval or decline on member transactions
  • Working as part of the team to open new accounts and assist members with questions
  • Promoting TowneBank as well as all related bank products
  • Recommending employee actions such as promotions, transfers, development opportunities, etc. and supervising the on-the-job training of new employees at the branch
  • Writing annual reviews with the assistance of the branch manager
  • Handling employee disciplinary issues with the assistance of the branch manager and Human Resources as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Adheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)


Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:



  • At least two years banking experience with a single employer with a combination of teller and platform experience
  • Ability to coordinate workflow and manage a team with diverse responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to follow through and complete tasks as required
  • Previous experience in handling TowneBank operational duties
  • Ability to listen well and resolve member issues in a positive manner


Desired Skills & Competencies:



  • An Associates or Bachelor's college degree
  • Previous banking industry supervisory experience


Physical Requirements:



  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and
  • Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
  • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental
