WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Business Intelligence Analyst provides strategic, analytical, and technical support for business intelligence activities. The analyst leverages data to gain key insights into business opportunities and effectively presents these insights to business stakeholders. The analyst is also heavily involved with the distribution and successful delivery of BI reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Analyzes business opportunities with solid understanding of financial statements.
  • Partners with stakeholders, process specialists, and users to elicit and document business requirements.
  • Partners with business teams to define and document business requirements for new metrics and reports.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains reports and analytical tools.
  • Performs ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports.
  • Provides technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools.
  • Identifies and analyzes errors and inconsistencies in the data and provides timely resolutions.
  • Translates data results into written reports, tables, graphs, Power BI dashboards and other reports to convey information to management.
  • Creates written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations.
  • Leverages data warehouse to ensure accuracy and adds new data to meet continuously evolving business needs.
  • Provides insight into the data's meaning and how it can be used to make decisions.
  • Scopes business needs by collecting relevant facts and investigating problem statements.
  • Advises employees on ways to leverage technology to improve their processes.
  • May have to lift up to 25-30 pounds on occasion.
  • Requires frequent hand use for typing, operating the phone, handling materials, and other job-related tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred
  • 3+ years of development experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI (preferred) or Tableau


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES


  • DAX and Power Query M language
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong Data Modeling skills
  • Staying up to date with evolving industry technology (Power BI preferred)
