CSG is organized by core customer-facing lines of business to manage and grow programs within NASA, NOAA, and the NNSA, while extending our capabilities to other civilian federal government agencies fully integrated within Aerospace rules, regulations, processes, values, and behaviors.

Within Aerospace CSG, the NASA Programs Division (NPD) supports our NASA customer in all aspects of human space flight and deep space exploration program office activities. In collaboration with other agency directorates, NASA's Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD) develops systems for Moon to Mars exploration. Within the directorate, the Strategy and Architecture Office (SAO)leadsdefinition, documentation, and disposition of the overarching Moon to Mars architecture with buy-in from all stakeholders. The SAO Science, Technology,Utilizationand Integration (STUI) team enables science and technology stakeholder engagement in developing the architecture to ensure achievement of agency Moon to Marsobjectivesduring human exploration missions.

We are looking for aUtilization Integrator(Project Engineer- Systems Engineering)toprovidestrategicintegration to Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD) in support of Science, TechnologyUtilizationand Integration (STUI) content across the agency.TheSTUIteamis responsible forscience coordination;integration ofutilizationof science, payloads, and technology across mission directorates;and aligning these efforts withNASA's broaderinternational partnerengagementstrategy.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site in Washington, D.C.locatedat NASA HQ,Greenbelt, MDlocatedatGoddard Space FlightCenter

WhatYou'llBe Doing

  • Lead integrationand coordination activities and content related to science integration, capability integration, andutilizationacrossESDMD'sStrategy and Architecture Office (SAO) STUIteamand the Moon to Mars (M2M) Program Office
  • Lead coordination and integration ofNASA'sutilizationgoals and requirements across stakeholder communities,with an emphasis oninternational partners
  • Developutilizationintegration processesand roadmapsfor partners contributing to the Artemis architecture
  • Participate in forums for technical discussions where decisions are made related toexploration architecture, missionconcepts, testing/training, requirements, and verifications
  • Facilitate various working groups across the stakeholder community, includingdevelopinginternational content andinterfacing with internationalcounterparts
  • Facilitate strategic planning and execution of the UtilizationCoordination &Integration Group (UCIG)
  • Maintainmulti-yearutilizationoutlooks and timelines (ex: mission, crew, science, resources)
  • Maintain team schedules, which will include international participants, as well as task trackingand task completion, including integration process improvement
  • Establish prioritization efforts by working closely with STUI and M2M, document, integrate, and provide advocacy for prioritization outcomes
  • Engage in SAO and M2M PO efforts to and forums as necessaryto ensure integration and coordination of content; this can include facilitation of working groups, workshops, and forums with internal and external stakeholders
  • Engage with directorate and agency leaders in support of internationalutilization
  • Engage directly with external stakeholders on research and analysis coordinationas necessary, includinginternational integration and engagement

What You Need to be Successful- Project Engineer- Systems Engineering

MinimumRequirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science,policyoranother relatedand relevantSTEM discipline
  • At least6years of increasingly responsible professionaltechnical and scientificpolicy andintegrationexperience
  • Experience serving as integration leader and/or coordinator of a team of technical contributors
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NASA program life cycle and systemintegration processesand the agency's Moon to Mars Architecture
  • Skilled in applying policy and strategic direction to key data products
  • Demonstrated experience researching and applying science and technologyutilizationmodels across multiple technical disciplines
  • Ability to effectivelyutilizeoral and written communication to express technical concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels
  • Ability to work in a quick-paced, small core team that leads technical discussions across a large technical community and influence teams across the NASA enterprise
  • Demonstrated ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with customers
  • Well versed in supporting NASA's interactions with international partners and international coordination bodies
  • Experience supporting NASA's pre-formulation process, especially for projects with international contributions
  • Proven expertise with technical writing and communication, especially for NASA strategy, policy, and project documentation
  • Willingnessto travelifrequired
  • This position may require the ability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship isrequiredto obtain a security clearance.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$117,300.00 - $175,900.00 Pay Basis: Annual
