The contributions you will make: This position serves a pivotal role in shaping and driving the organization's pricing strategy to support sustainable growth and profitability for its member-owners. As the leader of the Pricing team, oversees the development and implementation of pricing policies, models, and tools that align with the organization's goals. Provides strategic guidance and insights on pricing decisions, empowering the organization to make informed choices that enhance financial performance. Additionally, this position fosters collaboration across teams to ensure effective administration and support of pricing processes, while also contributing to broader organizational success through impactful analysis and recommendations. A typical day:
- Champions the brand; serves as a role-model for the vision, mission and values of the organization. Supports Compeer's strategic initiatives.
- Assists senior leadership in developing and implementing short- and long-term strategies and tactics for the finance department.
- Analyzes and reports portfolio pricing metrics, opportunities, and risks to leadership and frontline sales, while educating them on profitability drivers, transfer pricing rules, guidelines, and potential risks.
- Selects, trains, evaluates, compensates, and motivates team members to ensure a high-performing and engaged team.
- Manages team projects, workloads, and deliverables to meet business requirements and goals, while providing ongoing coaching, training, and learning opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Facilitates open communication about company initiatives and market developments to ensure team alignment and preparedness.
- Proactively identifies and coordinates technical training for team members to introduce new skills, enhance existing ones, and promote best practices.
- Leads the execution of daily pricing tasks and project assignments, ensuring team members have the necessary resources, coverage, and opportunities to grow their expertise.
- Drives the continuous development, enhancement, and maintenance of all pricing models across the organization to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with business needs.
- Actively supports and empowers frontline users by providing guidance and solutions for effective utilization of pricing models and tools.
- Manages the initiation, execution, and documentation of model validation processes to ensure compliance, reliability, and optimal performance of all pricing models.
- Identifies and champions opportunities for process improvements, implementing changes that streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and align with organizational objectives.
- Establishes and refines operating standards to focus team efforts on high-priority, value-driven activities, driving productivity and measurable organizational outcomes.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to analyze and provide actionable insights for budgeting interest rates, spreads, and product mix to support strategic financial planning.
- Serves on the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) finance working team and collaborates with key stakeholders to align pricing strategies with organizational goals, leveraging a data-driven approach to develop recommendations that are both financially sound and market-competitive for ALCO approval.
- Translates complex pricing and financial data into clear, actionable insights, providing guidance and effectively simplifying technical finance, regulatory, and accounting concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Actively mentors and supports team leaders and members across the organization, helping them interpret financial information, develop deeper understanding, and leverage data insights to make informed decisions.
The skills and experience we prefer you have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Seven or more years of progressive professional experience demonstrating increasing responsibility, scope, and leadership in finance and/or accounting functions, including expertise in pricing analysis for loan and lease products at a financial institution
- Five or more years of leadership and management experience.
- Masters Business Administration (MBA), Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to the financial industry and Farm Credit, with specific expertise in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
- Deep understanding of financial concepts, products, and instruments, including loans, leases, bonds, swaps, time value of money, financial statements, and asset liability management.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and the ability to balance accuracy and efficiency based on situational needs.
- Strong financial modeling expertise, including tools and concepts such as PowerPivot, data tables, Monte Carlo simulations, discounted cash flow, ROI, payback period, net present value, and regression analysis.
- Pricing and accounting information system expertise.
- Knowledge of financial markets, including fixed income, swaps, interest rates, capital markets, and the impact of U.S. and global economic conditions on funding and pricing strategies.
- Proficient in credit funding, transfer pricing, and asset liability management principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, written, and verbal abilities, with the capacity to build relationships and effectively communicate across all organizational levels.
- Skilled in translating complex technical or financial information into clear, non-technical language for diverse audiences, including senior leadership and boards.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to align organizational goals and priorities with finance team objectives.
- Effective negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building capabilities to drive collaboration and achieve organizational outcomes.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to navigate ambiguity, handle change, and make informed decisions with limited data.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, financial reporting systems, general ledger tools, and data analysis platforms.
- Valid driver's license.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
