Primary Function of Organizational Unit
North Carolina Cooperative Extension gives our residents easy access to the resources and expertise of NC State University and NC A&T State University. Through educational programs, publications, and events, Cooperative Extension field faculty deliver unbiased, research-based information to North Carolina citizens.

Pasquotank County, located in northeastern North Carolina within the Atlantic Coastal Plain, is home to over 40,661 residents. Spanning 269.33 square miles, 23% of the county's area is water, making it an ideal location for boating, fishing and other water-based activities. Duties and Responsibilities
Temp Office Support -
EFNEP Assistant (Part-Time)
The
EFNEP Assistant provides program support to the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (
EFNEP) by collecting, entering, and maintaining participant intake and exit data. Data collected is used for required reporting to the
EFNEP State Office at North Carolina State University.
This position requires regular interaction with program participants and a high level of accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality. The
EFNEP Assistant is supervised by the County Extension Director, with coaching and technical guidance provided by the Regional Nutrition Extension Associate (
RNEA) and the
EFNEP Data Analyst.
Work Schedule:
20 hours per week. Tuesday and Friday are required workdays. The position will be based at the Food Bank of the Albemarle and the NC Cooperative Extension Pasquotank County Center.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct
EFNEP participant intake and exit interviews for enrollment and completion
* Collect, verify, and enter participant data using
EFNEP-approved systems while maintaining accurate, confidential records
* Support the
EFNEP Educator with data collection and reporting
* Adhere to
EFNEP policies, procedures, data reporting requirements, and attend required trainings assigned by the
RNEA
* Communicate professionally with participants, Extension staff, and
EFNEP personnel
* Perform other duties as assigned by
EFNEP staff
