Diving and Research Scientist - Consultant

*This is a consulting position*

Serve as a Diving and Hyperbaric Research Scientist in the Decompression Group of the Biomedical Research Department (N32).

This position's effort is accomplished primarily through telework. On-site status in Panama City Beach, FL only through request by the NEDU N32 department head.

Responsibilities:

• Must support the data analysis and report generation and acceptance by sponsor for TA-23-23.
• May support data analysis and report generation for additional Decompression Group tasks to include, but not limited to TA 21-07, TA-22-19, TA 23-10.

• PhD Engineer, scientist, physician or equivalent who is a subject matter expert in diving and hyperbaric physiology.
• Intricate knowledge of the topics included in the above tasks (TA) is required.
• Extensive experience in the review and synthesis of scientific information, to include journal articles, technical reports, research proposals, experimental protocols, and processing of raw or compiled data.
• Extensive experience in conducting human subject research.
• U.S. Citizen with eligibility for a secret clearance

This is a new position; it has not been created to fill an existing (vacated) Civil Service Position
