About the role:

This is a multi-faceted role that supports Boston Scientific's Global Finance technology portfolio.This roleis responsible fordefining and modeling the organization's business capabilities, processes, andassistsin enterprise-wide strategic planning.

In this role, you will workwith business stakeholders toidentifybusiness opportunities, define high level business needs, andassistin developing business cases.This individual ensuresthat business capabilities and processes areoptimizedand aligned with the organization's goals andobjectives.

This role will report to theDirector of IT Acquisitions & Integrations and Finance.

Work Mode:
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at three days per week.

Your responsibilities willinclude:



  • Facilitatediscussions with business stakeholders and IT leaders to align on strategicobjectives, ensuring clear communication and alignment across business and technology functions.
  • Drivebusiness transformation through the development and optimization of capabilities and value streams.
  • Analyze current and future state capabilities, providing data-driven recommendations to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the identification, documentation, and analysis of business architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational needs andobjectives.
  • Take ownership of the department's business architecture vision, ensuring it aligns with organizational strategies and is effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Champion the development of business cases, ensuring alignment with business goals andobjectives, and promoting effective implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Supportthe strategic planning process byprovidingexpert insights into business needs and the role of technology in supporting these needs.
  • Identifyopportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness within business architecture processes, ensuring the continuous improvement of practices and methodologies.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of the company's operations and business practices to generatenew ideasand processes that drive business success and transformation.
  • Demonstrate influence and function with autonomy, effectively guiding the organization through complex business transformation efforts.
  • Support enterprise-wide change initiatives, promoting businessarchitectureand its alignment with the organization's strategicobjectives.



Required qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
  • 7+ yearsbusinessarchitecture experience
  • Apply architecture principles to a given context.
  • Able to articulate in IT and non-IT terms the architecture principles in more than one architecture domain.
  • Proficient at tailoring communication/influencing techniques depending on stakeholder.
  • Ability to be in office 3 days per week (hybrid)



Preferred qualifications:



  • Experience in the medical device or life sciences industry
  • Experience in consulting, business strategy, and/or IT architecture

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com-will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
