We seek candidates who are ultrasound fellowship-trained, clinically-focused emergency medicine faculty, with demonstrated experience and significant contributions to emergency ultrasound education and scholarship. Applicants who are passionate about collaborating with our emergency ultrasound section and providing excellent, innovative point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) education to students, trainees, and faculty are encouraged to apply. Rank and series will be commensurate with qualifications. The Department of Emergency Medicine provides comprehensive emergency services to a large local and referral population at multiple academic hospitals across the San Francisco Bay Area, including UCSF Hellen Diller Medical Center, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals in San Francsico and Oakland. The Department of Emergency Medicine hosts a fully accredited 4-year Emergency Medicine residency program and multiple fellowship programs, including in Emergency Ultrasound and Pediatric Emergency Ultrasound. There are opportunities for leadership and growth within the Department and UCSF School of Medicine. Board certification in Emergency Medicine is required. Applicants should excel in bedside teaching, leadership, and scholarship in emergency ultrasound, and have a strong ethic of service to their patients and profession.
