The department of Information Technology Services is currently accepting applications for a remote Senior Integration Engineer.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Integration Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC)-including Cloud Data Integration (CDI) as well as other Informatica microservices. This role will support enterprise data pipelines, integrations, and other initiatives within our environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Enterprise Data & Integration Modernization Initiatives. Serve as the senior technical lead for modernization projects involving Informatica IDMC, cloud data integration and platform re-architecture.
  • Architect and Govern Integration Solutions. Design, review, and approve complex integration architectures, data pipelines, and transformation frameworks to ensure reliability, performance, security and maintainability.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams delivering modernization and transformation efforts, including migrations, platform upgrades and strategic integrations. Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues, delivery risks, and architectural decisions.
  • Partner with application, database, analytics, and enterprise teams to define modernization strategies, technical roadmaps, and sequencing of initiatives.
  • Mentor and upskill junior and mid-level engineers, ensuring consistent adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and development practices. Lead vendor knowledge transfer, operational runbook development, and production support models to reduce risk, improve resiliency, and ensure long-term operational continuity.
  • Manage and execute Informatica IDMC code migrations across development, test, and production environments, ensuring proper version control, deployment validation, and adherence to organizational release management processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Informatica integration jobs (CDI, Mass Ingestion, and serverless tasks), proactively resolving failures, performance issues, latency problems, and connectivity interruptions to maintain high pipeline reliability.
  • Configure and maintain Informatica connectors for on-prem and cloud sources (databases, SaaS applications, file systems, APIs), including setting connection properties, secure agents, and custom parameters to ensure robust and scalable integrations.
  • Set up and manage authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, token-based authentication, service accounts, and API keys within Informatica IDMC to securely connect to enterprise systems while following governance and security standards.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI) for building, deploying, and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Design, develop, and optimize data workflows and Informatica ETL/ELT processes.
  • Create reusable integration frameworks, templates, and automation for scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline failures, performance issues, and integration defects, ensuring high reliability.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and transformations for handling large datasets efficiently.
  • Experience working with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Parquet, etc.).
  • Collaborate with DBAs and infrastructure teams on physical database design and storage optimization.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and connectivity to Snowflake and Informatica IDMC.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on data integration concepts and SQL best practices.
  • Unix/Linux/Shell Scripting
  • Must have good Verbal and Written communication skills.
  • Able to learn new technologies.
  • Be available on an on-call basis for troubleshooting system and application problems as well as for critical deployments.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of five (5) years of combined experience involving:

    • Working with large relational databases (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) using advanced SQL.

    • Hands-on experience designing and developing data integration pipelines using Informatica IDMC, including Cloud Data Integration and Mass Ingestion.

    • Experience implementing and supporting Snowflake Data Warehouse solutions, including ELT workflows and performance tuning.
  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proficiency in Informatica IDMC, including Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Mass Ingestion (MI), and Data Governance tools.
  • Strong experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse, including SQL, ELT, performance optimization, and schema design.
  • Solid understanding of ETL/ELT methodologies, data modeling concepts, and data lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with API integrations, REST/SOAP connectors, and cloud-native connectivity.
  • Ability to work with structured and semi-structured data such as JSON, XML, Parquet, and Avro.
  • Strong knowledge of data quality, metadata management, and data lineage principles.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, debugging integration flows, and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Ability to create technical documentation, including standards, design specifications, mappings, and runbooks.
  • Version Control and SDLC Practices.
  • Ability to work independently to organize resources and establish priorities.
  • Ability to listen, comprehend, analyze problems; and respond with results-oriented conclusions and solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure, while paying attention to detail and inflexible deadlines.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and schedule other team members.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or ability to become certified within 12 months of employment.
