OVERVIEW:


The Shipping & Receiving Clerk keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments, prepares items for shipment, receives inbound shipment and stocks in warehouse.



SHIFT:

3rd Shift 10:00pm - 6:30am (You will need to train on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks.)




  • Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays as needed is required. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business needs.



PAY RATE: Starting rate $19.03-25.69 hourly



DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.



  • Prepares and affixes shipping labels (LTL) on packed skids.



  • Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.



  • Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.



  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.



  • Prepare Bills of Lading (BOL) and labels.



  • Correctly Routes materials and goods to departments



  • Examines incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure all items have been correctly packaged, are free of obvious damage, paper work and labels are correct, and all processing has been completed per company and customer requirements. Enter production information into SAP system.



  • Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies; order materials as required.



  • Operatestowmotor or pallet jack to move shipments from shipping and receiving platform to warehouse or work area; unload inbound material from vehicles, load outbound material into vehicles.



  • Perform finished goods and supplies inventory on a quarterly basis or as needed.



  • All other duties as assigned





WORK EXPERIENCES:




  • 1-2 years in an industrial manufacturing environment required



  • Prior forklift or tow motor experience preferred. Ability to be certified is required.



  • Proven ability to successfully meet customer and management deadlines.





EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:




  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.





ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES:




  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.



  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written English communication skills are required.
