job purpose: The Supply Planning Manager, Webster is a key leader within the Supply Chain organization, accountable for end-to-end site-level supply planning at the Webster, NY manufacturing facility. This role leads the team responsible for production scheduling, milk filtration planning, milk ordering, and materials requirements planning, ensuring plans are integrated, executable, and optimized to meet service, cost, and operational performance targets. This leader partners closely with site Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering to translate demand and network priorities into clear, disciplined production plans that balance finished goods requirements with the flow of milk into, through, and out of the facility. The Supply Planning Manager also collaborates across the broader Supply Chain organization: including Distribution Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Demand Planning, and Network Supply Planning to ensure alignment to end-to-end supply strategies and rapid, coordinated response to change.

responsibilities:



  • Lead and develop the site supply planning team, setting clear expectations, priorities, and standards while coaching and developing talent to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Own the development and execution of the site production schedule, milk ordering, filtration capacity, production line capacity planning, materials requirements planning.
  • Drive production efficiency, cost discipline, and asset utilization through optimized scheduling, proactive constraint management, and data-driven decision making.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of planning managers and supply planners, establishing a culture of ownership, high standards, continuous improvement, and intellectual rigor.
  • Serve as the primary planning partner to site Operations leadership, leading daily alignment with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering on execution plans, risks, and recovery actions.
  • Lead milk requirements planning and ordering for the Webster site, partnering closely with Procurement and milk cooperatives to translate production plans into accurate milk order schedules and proactively balance supply to manage risk.
  • Partner with Procurement and Suppliers to ensure material requirements are aligned to production plans and to develop executable run-out and transition plans when bills of materials change.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve risks related to quality, materials, capacity, or execution that may impact the production schedule or customer service.
  • Lead structured daily and weekly planning forums, ensuring clear communication of plans, changes, and priorities across supply chain planning and site operations.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership, critical thinking, and sound judgment, communicating proactively and with precision while serving as a trusted thought partner to Operations, Network Planning, Procurement, and Supply Chain Leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement across supply planning processes and ways of working to reduce waste, increase speed, improve accuracy, and embed best-in-class planning principles


skills/qualifications required:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Planning, or Operations
  • 3 years of progression in leadership / people management required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in complex, fast-paced manufacturing environments
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities
  • Strong analytical skills with a first-principles, problem-solving mindset
  • High attention to detail and curiosity paired with the ability to connect execution to system-level outcomes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience in data modeling. Anaplan experience a plus
  • Programming (SQL, Python) and data visualization (Power BI) experience preferred
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 preferred but not required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across functions
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and change, with a bias for action

$110,000 $115,000 USD
