The Equine Events Specialist is responsible for planning, execution and follow up of all assigned National and Regional equine sponsorship events (veterinarian and horse owner) for the American Regent Animal Health Division. Build the flagship Adequan brand and support new product launches both by leveraging sponsorship communication channels and through 1-1 interaction with horse owners, trainers, and veterinarians.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Sponsorship and Events Manager to define overall targeted sponsorships and objectives, aligning with the marketing and sales goals for the Company's products.
  • Coordinate with brand marketing, marketing agency, marketing operations and sales team, to plan and execute all required activities for approved sponsorships and events, within established policies, procedures, timelines and budgets.
  • Attend National and Regional sponsorship events, collaborating closely with the sales team to drive high levels of execution and value-added activities that build our brands and support sales opportunities.
  • Initiate conversations at events with horse owners, trainers, and veterinarians, detailing American Regent products, answering questions, and encouraging participation in company programs and promotions.
  • Set up and take down company booth and marketing assets, managing shipment of materials. Prepare post event feedback to include event assessment, summary of activities and recommendations for future event planning.
  • Facilitate collection of rider/trainer contact information with approved and compliant programs.
  • Identify and interact with any key veterinarians as directed by the sales team and/or forward any such leads developed during the event.
  • Manage event and travel expenses within approved budget and policy.
  • Work collaboratively with all appropriate corporate departments to provide customers and partners with top-quality service, while operating in full compliance with all company requirements.
  • Prepare and transmit required administrative work (expense reports, activity reports, etc.) in accordance with company policies and in a timely manner.
  • At all times, represent the company in a positive and professional manner, and ensure that we maintain the highest level of business ethics in our US operation.
  • Foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and exhibit strong teamwork with all members of the AHD and American Regent team.
  • Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field required.
  • Minimum 1+ year's successful sales experience or other experience in the Equine industry required.
  • Proficient with Excel, and PowerPoint, knowledge of CRM or experience with social media a plus.
  • Must be proactive, with strong attention to detail and consistent follow through.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strongly self-motivated, ethical, positive and teamwork oriented.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50lbs, set up booth structures, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must have valid US Driver's License.
  • Travel up to 80% required, including extensive weekend attendance at Equine events.

Expected Salary Range:

$50,000-60,000

The salary range, is the minimum and maximum annual salary range of compensation for the role that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting of an advertisement for the role. Actual compensation for the role will be based on a number of different factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, knowledge, skills and experience.
