Description

As the SGS Payroll Specialist, your overall responsibility is to administer the organization's payroll North and Latin America employees (2000+ employee population).

This role reports to the Payroll Manager, Americas

Working knowledge of USA and Canadian payrolls. Knowledge of Argentina/Brazil /Colombia/Mexico /Peru payrolls. Working with ADP and other payroll providers in a Managed payroll model to execute full payroll cycle.

In this role you will act as the key point of contact for different stakeholders including, but not limited to employees, Managers, Team Leaders, HR team members, Finance, and external vendors regarding payroll inquiries for your region.

Handle all Payroll work accurately, reliably and in accordance with all legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities



  • Process SGS Co's payroll in North America and act as a backup for Latin America's payroll coordinator.
  • Process full cycle weekly and bi-weekly multi-state and multi-provincial payrolls for 1200+ employees in the USA and Canada utilizing UKG, ADP Celergo and Global View systems within Managed payroll model.
  • Liaise with the 3rd party payroll providers in the region, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate tax filing and payments as well as pension and other contributions to various agencies.
  • Maintain tax and reporting compliance of the Americas' payroll function.
  • Assist the Payroll Manager with the Year End activities ensuring accuracy of tax forms.
  • Develop comprehensive SOPs for all payroll-related processed for the region.
  • Liaise with Finance Department on timely payment of all payrolls and government and other remittances.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders on benefit & reward changes as well as any other changes affecting employees' pay.
  • As an integral part of the Global Payroll Team, work collaboratively with EMEA and APAC team members for cross-regional training to enable global payroll support.
  • Support Payroll Manager with the ongoing process improvement efforts of the organization by playing an integral role in global payroll integration projects in multiple countries.



Skills and Abilities



  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, relationship building capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Previous relevant working experience (5-7 years) in handling end-to-end payroll processes for North American region is essential.
  • Proficiency in using ADP Celergo and ADP Global View payroll systems.
  • Strong attention to details- ability to review and audit payroll data with high accuracy to ensure error- free processing
  • Experience in a fast-paced HR/Payroll environment..
  • Team Player both locally and internationally.
  • Prior experience in HR operations and knowledge of best practices.
  • Familiarity with current employment rules and regulations.
  • Hands on experience with HR software (HRIS)



Advantageous



  • Good understanding of full cycle hiring process.
  • Experience with benefits and pensions administration.
  • NPI, PayrollOrg or similar payroll association's certifications.
  • Have an experience in and good understanding of the payroll aspect of restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, new global and local programs implementation, etc.



Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This is a remote position in the US. We are open to candidates in various states, with the exception of those residing in the following: AK, DC, ME, NH, NM, OK, HI, MS, MT, NV, NE, ND, SD, VT, WY, WV

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $35.00 USD - $38.00 USD per hour. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
