Workplace Solutions (WS) is a Bank at Work program and sales channel focused on acquiring new consumer relationships and expanding youth banking engagement. The Student Solutions Relationship Manager (SSRM) is a specialized role responsible for driving Youth Banking growth through school partnerships, Greenlight implementation, financial education, and sales execution within an assigned territory. This role sources and develops school relationships through collaboration with internal Solutions Banking partners, Community Impact, Commercial and Consumer teams, as well as through prospecting, cold calling, centers of influence, and personal networks. The SSRM conducts financial and sales presentations, enrolls schools, and coordinates onsite youth banking account-opening events and financial education programs. The Student Solutions Relationship Manager works closely with Solutions Banking Relationship Managers, the Community Impact Team, and branch teams to achieve youth consumer acquisition, campaign execution, cross-sell, and related goals. As the Youth Banking subject matter expert, this role also provides training and support to assigned branches and internal partners. Position Accountabilities
- Prospect, source, and promote the Youth Banking program to schools within assigned territory.
- Build and manage relationships with enrolled schools and partners supporting youth banking services, including Greenlight implementation.
- Collaborate closely with Solutions Banking Relationship Managers (RMs) within enrolled schools, where Solutions Banking RMs lead banking engagement for faculty and staff, while the Student Solutions Relationship Manager owns student-focused outreach, acquisition, and engagement. Together, partner on schools that present opportunities for customer acquisition across faculty, staff, and students, with this role maintaining primary accountability for student and youth banking growth.
- Coordinate with schools, Solutions Banking Relationship Managers, Community Impact, Commercial Relationship Managers, and branch teams to schedule youth banking account-opening events ("onsites").
- Conduct financial education seminars and activities for enrolled schools and prospects, tailoring content to meet the needs of parents and students.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of banking products and technology-driven services designed to support younger consumers.
- Establish and strengthen partnerships with line-of-business leaders to support school prospecting efforts and financial education initiatives.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of school prospects through business development activities including prospecting, cold calling, referrals, business partners, centers of influence, and personal networks.
- Partner with the Learning & Development team to train assigned branches on the Youth Banking program, sales effectiveness techniques, and presentation skills.
- Collaborate with Regional Consumer Banking Presidents and/or Market Managers to coach branch teammates on Youth Banking engagement strategies that maximize sales opportunities with parents and students.
- Develop and execute sales plans; effectively utilize WS Youth Banking and bank marketing and collateral materials.
- Monitor, track, and report Youth Banking performance and results.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance the Youth Banking program, including conducting competitive research and market intelligence.
- Build presentations and attend Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meetings and school events to promote Greenlight to parents.
- Manage expenses and travel costs effectively.
- Complete all required training by assigned due dates.
- Participate in meetings as required and perform other duties as assigned.
Organizational Relationship This position reports to the Director of Workplace Solutions Position Qualifications Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Five or more years of retail banking experience and/or consultative sales and client service experience.
- Significant experience with Youth Banking and/or Bank at Work programs.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively to drive growth.
- Proven success working within cross-functional teams without formal authority.
