Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

We are seeking a systems engineer to support numerous phases of requirements management, system development, test procedure development, software integration and testing both in our lab and at partner sites as the team develops and fields both prototypes and production systems. You will work closely with a cross functional team of engineers across a variety of hardware, software and integrated product programs to provide solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participates in the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements gathering, analysis and documentation to production support and maintenance
  • Participates in requirements analysis, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, trade studies, systems integration, and test.
  • Identifies and analyzes system designs/components/hardware and resolves system design weaknesses.
  • Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Develops system documentation on both new and fielded systems.
  • Finding, investigating, documenting, and resolving defects in Systems
  • Provides system integration, evaluation and test support. Identifies and documents defects.
  • Develops test procedures and runs official, customer witnessed tests.
  • Generates technical engineering products using appropriate standards and tools throughout the system development life cycle and influences the design of future products.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding and application of systems engineering principles, concepts, and theories.
  • Use of tools for managing requirements and modeling systems.
  • Experience developing system design, requirements and system model documentation.
  • Experience in hardware focused as well as integrated hardware/software systems.
  • Experience in an integrated cross functional team.
  • Experience developing test plans, test procedures, test reports.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly report information relevant to sound systems engineering design.

Target salary range: USD $112,924.00/Yr. - USD $125,275.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
