The Mental Health Technician, under the supervision of the Team leader/Manager, and the Nurse Practitioner Unit Supervisor, provides group and individual behavioral interventions to patients a Behavioral Health setting. This role includes the following duties and actively supports the mission statement of Mercy Behavioral Health. May include day and evening hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Collects patient data and documents in the medical record.

* Assists therapist with group management and behavioral interventions.

* Provides patient treatments as ordered.

* Documents care provided in the medical record.

* Observes patients and reports behaviors or treatment concerns to the therapist, Nurse Practitioner or Team Lead/Manager.

* Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.

* Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.

* Assists with cleaning and organizing the programming rooms.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in relevant Behavioral health field.

Or: minimum of 5 years of experience working with children.

CPR within 90 days
