Job Summary:

We are seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision aerospace components according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Location : Prescott, AZ

Responsibilities:

  • Set up CNC machines-Lathes by installing and adjusting fixtures, tools and workpieces.
  • Load raw materials into the machine and adjust machine controls to ensure proper alignment.
  • Interpret technical drawings, and blueprints to understand machining requirements.
  • Input and modify CNC programs using G-code as necessary to meet design specifications.
  • Operate machines to produce aerospace components with high precision.
  • Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and our measurement tools to ensure parts meet strict tolerance.
  • Complete required documentation, including quality reports and production logs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or repair needs promptly.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations, including AS9100 and ISO9000.
  • Work closely with engineers, quality control personnel, and other team members to resolve issues and optimize processes.
  • Provide feedback on production efficiency and suggest improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience operating CNC machines, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity to perform detailed work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).
  • Knowledge of precision measurement tools and techniques.

Working Conditions

  • Full time shift 40-50 hours a week
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods standing 8-10 hours a day
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
