Scope of Position

This seasoned individual, as part of the Global Data & Analytics team within Information Technology, will lead the analytics roadmap, report development, and optimization of Watts' enterprise data analytics ecosystem. The Lead BI Architect will play a critical role in driving Watts' next-generation analytics platform, leveraging Power BI, Azure Fabric, Databricks, and the SAP ecosystem to enable advanced analytics, robust data models, artificial intelligence capabilities, and sustainable scalability across global business units.

This position is an individual contributor role with no direct supervisory responsibility.

This position reports to the VP, Global Data & Analytics. This role may be remote (EST/CST time zones only) or based in North Andover, MA, or Dallas, TX.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and implement enterprise analytics architecture strategies aligned with Watts' initiatives to modernize data analytics and drive digital transformation across global business units.

  • Lead the design and optimization of enterprise data models and analytics patterns across Watts business domains, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

  • Drive the development, standardization, and optimization of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions to support scalable, high-performance analytics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable analytics solutions and ensure consistent adoption of a unified analytics and data fabric.

  • Design, document, and catalog enterprise business data domains and data definitions to support consistent analytics, reporting, and reuse.

  • Establish and govern best practices for enterprise reporting, semantic data modeling, performance optimization, and user access to analytics and reports.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical and reporting needs into robust, scalable analytics solutions that support advanced analytics and decision-making.

  • Guide the evaluation and adoption of modern analytics technologies, including Power BI, Azure Fabric, Databricks, and SAP-based analytics, to enable advanced analytics, AI/ML capabilities, predictive insights, and real-time reporting.

  • Mentor junior analytics team members on BI architecture, analytics, and data modeling best practices.

  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Company management.

  • Perform responsibilities in alignment with Watts values of Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, and Transparency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent relevant work experience).

  • Minimum of 14 years of experience in data and analytics architecture, with a strong emphasis on business intelligence, semantic modeling, and enterprise analytics solutions.

  • Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power BI, including semantic models, DAX development, and performance tuning.

  • Strong experience with ERP-centric data modeling and analytics, including SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP environments.

  • Advanced knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques, including Kimball methodologies and star/snowflake schemas.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and analytical query optimization.

  • Proven experience supporting analytics solutions in manufacturing or industrial business environments.

  • Expertise in data modeling methodologies (Kimball and Inmon), data quality management, and metadata management.

  • Working knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.

  • Proven success leading or contributing to large-scale data modernization initiatives or cloud-based analytics transformations.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving orientation and ability to navigate complex technical ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated organic career growth within large-scale data and analytics ecosystems.

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (including Synapse Analytics) and Databricks.

  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles as applied to analytics and reporting solutions.

  • Experience with ERP process analytics, including Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Plan-to-Produce processes.

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics, forecasting, or predictive analytics use cases, including predictive supply chain scenarios.

  • Experience operating in global, multi-ERP environments.

  • Microsoft Azure architecture or other relevant cloud data platform certifications.

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working in an office environment. You will be required to work in the office location three days per week (Monday - Wednesday) and can work remotely two days per week (Thursday and Friday).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.

  • Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.

  • Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.

Pay Range

The expected salary range for this position is $169,000 - $184,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
