Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Shift: Mon- Thurs | 6am-6pm

Nothing gets built unless the yard runs right-and this Yard Material Handler makes that happen. Staffmark is hiring a dependable, safety-focused Yard Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will move, organize, and manage materials throughout our yard, facility, and remote locations. This position is ideal for candidates with a construction or material handling background who are experienced in operating heavy equipment and take pride in keeping a workspace organized, safe, and efficient. From receiving to staging, this Yard Material Handler plays a key role in keeping the yard safe, efficient, and on schedule.

This is what it takes to work for us.

• Experience operating a forklift, telehandler, manlift, and skid steer required
• High school diploma or GED required; specialized training or certifications a plus
• Minimum 1 year of experience moving materials with similar equipment
• Ability to readand follow work instructions, packing sheets, and other documents
• Strong math and reasoning skills
• Construction experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities

• Safely move, stack, and organize materials in the yard, buildings, and remote locations
• Operate heavy equipment, including forklift (certified), telehandler, manlift, skid steer, tractor, and back wagons
• Perform start-of-shift equipment inspections, basic maintenance, and cleaning
• Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory
• Identify damaged or non-compliant materials and report issues
• Pick up debris and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Cross-train and support other material handling roles as qualified
