Description

We are seeking a motivated Contract Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Contract Billing Specialist will support and assist the program finance team in all aspects of government contract billings. This includes maintaining and generating accurate records; preparing and submitting invoices; reliably and consistently meeting timelines and due dates in the full execution of billing cycles by following established billing procedures; providing support with contract maintenance as required to include entering contract MODs and setting up contract funding and workforce in Costpoint. This is a hybrid position with both remote and in office workdays.

Position Responsibilities

  • Creating and Preparing invoice packages in support of invoices to include all funding and cost support documents.
  • Balance billed amounts with project accounting records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with program managers, finance, accounting, and contracts teams to ensure proper documentation when entering invoices into Wide Area Workflow (WAWF).
  • Maintain organized billing records for audit readiness.
  • Support of contract setup, modification entry, and contract maintenance.
  • Contract funding and cost review, invoice reconciliation to backup documents, and invoice tracking to ensure contract compliance.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of Government Contract Billing experience is preferred.
  • Experience in billings on different types of government contracts, such as Time & Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Firm Fixed Price (FFP).
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD invoicing systems / WAWF (preferred).
  • Experience with Deltek Systems / Costpoint preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications with Excel being a must.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, but also independently.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Education Requirements

  • BA or BS Degree (Finance or Accounting preferred).
