Position Title: Foreign Exchange Trading Analyst

Business Unit: Commercial Banking

Reports to: Managing Director of International Banking

Position Overview:

The position is primarily responsible for supporting the FX Trading Desk in its mission to manage risk and grow fee income for the Bank and its customers. The incumbent will be responsible for FX market analysis and research with the overall goal of meeting the risk profile, fee income and profitability of the department and the Bank. He/she must learn the FX platform to drive client relationships through the sale of foreign exchange products and risk management solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist the line of business (particularly the trading desk) with customer's FX transactions. Learn and demonstrate thorough understanding of the Foreign Exchange systems by booking and processing customer and bank's transaction from start to finish. Monitor nostros balances and help manage Bank and client FX positions.

Help identify research-driven trading ideas and market opportunities to drive business. Liaises and interacts with correspondent banks/liquidity providers to facilitate transactions and provide competitive pricing for clients. Assist with timely research and regular publication of market insights/updates for clients and internal business partners.

Onboard new relationships consistent with Bank policy and regulatory requirements. Manage and test all new enhancements to the FX platform.

Work with Finance, Internal Audit, Back Office and FX platform vendor to address any post-trade/system issues. Support International Banking Services short and long term goals and plans. Conduct periodic FX portfolio reviews, creates target client lists and provides RMs and Regional Market Presidents with complete and accurate client P/L information.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
