What you'll do

The Marketing Manager will lead strategic marketing initiatives serving clients in government, defense, and national security sectors. This role is responsible for shaping market positioning, demand generation, and customer engagement strategies across a complex portfolio of advanced technologies and sensitive programs. This role requires not only setting vision and direction but also rolling up your sleeves, diving into the work and driving execution. The ideal candidate has deep experience in B2G or B2B settings with stringent regulatory requirements. They excel at translating technical capabilities into compelling value propositions. They work directly alongside business development and executive leadership to drive growth and mission impact.


The day-to-day

Marketing Strategy and Planning

  • Develop marketing and communications plans that are coordinated and aligned with business objectives and captures.
  • Establish benchmarks to measure and evaluate marketing efficiency.
  • Leverage market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive insights.
  • Create detailed tactical plans that outline key deliverables, timelines and resource requirements.

Sales Enablement and Collaborator Management

  • Work with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver high-quality, effective, and 'on-brand' customer-centric materials and experiences.
  • Bring value by developing propositions for the launch and sustainment of new products.
  • Translate complex technical concepts and solutions into clear, compelling marketing messages.
  • Partner closely with Business Development and Sales teams to support pipeline development and major pursuits.

Content Development, Digital and Events

  • Own market segmentation, buyer personas and messaging frameworks.
  • Lead development of content across owned and earned channels, such as: case studies, brochures, presentations, videos and infographics.
  • Oversee digital presence (web, social, video), including quality of leads captured.
  • Partner with the events team to plan, implement and evaluate participation in trade shows, industry and customer events.
  • Responsibilities range from strategic selection of events, activation of campaigns at events, messaging, materials development, securing speaking opportunities.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including direct management of marketing campaigns and budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting government, defense, aerospace, national security, or highly regulated B2B markets.
  • Proven track record to market technical or critically meaningful solutions to senior government and military collaborators.
  • Strong crossfunctional collaboration skills, particularly with Business Development, Engineering, and Program Management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executivelevel presentations.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and capture cycles.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

This is a hybrid role based out of Reston, VA, Washington DC, Carlsbad, CA, or Duluth, GA. Incumbent will work onsite three days a week.

Salary range

$120,500.00 - $190,000.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $139,000.00- $209,000.00/ annually
