This is a hands-on technical role, emphasizing modeling, coordination, and digital workflows. The role offers exposure to complex projects, evolving technologies, and opportunities for professional growth within Balfour Beatty's digital delivery practice.

Essential Functions

  • Model Coordination: Support and facilitate multi-trade coordination and clash detection using Navisworks and Revit; assist with coordination meetings and model issue tracking.
  • VDC & BIM Support: Contribute to BIM execution planning, model logistics, and data management in alignment with company VDC standards and workflows (including R5 process).
  • Model Development: Create, update, and maintain architectural, structural, and MEP models at appropriate Levels of Development (LOD) through design and construction phases.
  • MEP & Trade Integration: Coordinate building systems with trade partners to identify and resolve conflicts and support constructability reviews.
  • Technology & Platform Support: Provide model-based support for documentation, coordination, and field use; assist teams with Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) workflows.
  • Quality & Accuracy: Perform model checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with construction documents and project standards.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work collaboratively with project teams, designers, and subcontractors to support alignment, efficiency, and best practices in digital delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ of experience in VDC/BIM modeling and coordination within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with Revit and Navisworks.
  • Working knowledge of Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and BIM 360 / ACC.
  • Experience supporting MEP coordination and understanding LOD requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience coordinating large, complex, or multi-phase projects with multiple trades and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or independently manage multi-trade coordination efforts, including facilitating coordination or clash resolution discussions.
  • Experience contributing to or helping develop BIM execution plans, VDC standards, or project-specific workflows.
  • Exposure to preconstruction or design-assist modeling, including early coordination, constructability reviews, or model-based problem-solving.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior VDC/BIM staff, interns, or project team members.
  • Advanced Revit capabilities, such as family creation, content management, or model optimization.
  • Familiarity with lean construction principles, model-based coordination strategies, or digital delivery best practices.
  • Interest in expanding technical leadership, coordination ownership, or process improvement responsibilities over time.

Candidates who demonstrate strong technical ownership, coordination leadership, and process improvement capabilities may be considered for future senior-level opportunities.
