Job Summary
The position is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and inspecting precision components, tools, and fixtures in a manufacturing or tool room environment. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, and experience operating a variety of manual and CNC machining equipment. The individual must work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards, safety compliance, and effective communication across teams. Job Responsibilities
Fabricate parts and extrusion components using open setup methods on manual lathes, surface grinders, manual and 3-axis milling machines, metal press brakes, water jet, and wire EDM equipment.
Assemble various components, tools, and fixtures while following established operational and shop guidelines.
Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, Vernier calipers, pin gages, and comparators to verify dimensions and quality against prints.
Maintain an orderly and clean workspace, including participation in end-of-task and end-of-shift cleanup activities.
Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
Job Requirements
Proficiency with manual machining equipment and exposure to CNC machining operations.
Experience using AutoCAD and MasterCAM software.
Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Ability to use precision measurement tools and ensure tooling and components meet quality standards.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
