THOR Solutionsis actively seeking a mid-levelSystems Administratorto support the Amphibious Assault Direction System (AADS) program activities at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD)onsiteinPanama City, FL. The selected candidate will providesupport for AADS training, fleet support, and installation in the Panama City, FL area and at various Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside theContiguous United States (OCONUS) locations asrequired.An ideal candidate will have experiencesimilar toa US Navy Information Systems Technician, a Security+ certification, and an existing security clearance.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Build and deploy Windows 11 images implementing AADS applications, enabling applications, and security controls.

  • Work with AADS engineering and testteamto develop, conduct, and document software and system test procedures.

  • Assistwith depot repair of AADS computers by identifying/troubleshooting faulty computers.

  • Support testing of Windows 10, Windows 11, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8 systems.

  • Assistwith depot repair of AADS computers by identifying/troubleshooting faulty computers.

Location:Full time onsiteat theNaval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD)in Panama City, FL.

Travel:This position isanticipatedto require up to 15% traveltoCONUS/OCONUSlocationsincluding:Norfolk, VA;Mayport, FL;San Diego, CA;Pascagoula, MS;Guam;Japan;Australia; andPhilippines.

Typical Physical Activity: Primarily desk/computer work in an office environment. Mayinvolve:repetitive motion. Periodic visits to waterfront/shipboard environments. Mayinvolve:traversing shipboard environments (e.g., confined spaces, ladders, hatches) or vision.

Existing SECRET Security Clearance Required: This position requires an existing active or interim Secret security clearance prior to hire. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance; therefore, only current U.S. citizens will be considered for this position.

  • A candidate with especially strong, relevantexperiencebut no current clearance may be considered, but a new clearance must be obtained prior to hire.

RequiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least three (3) to five (5) years of recent, relevantprofessional experience insystem administrationobtained in a U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, or other DoD environment.

  • Qualified as aSystem Administrator (451)at the Intermediate level under DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce (CWF). To qualify,mustpossessat least ONE of the followingqualifications(Please note: Proof of certification(s) will be requested during the evaluation & hiring process.):

    • BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering.
    • CompTIA Security+

    • CompTIA Cloud+

    • GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)

    • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)

    • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

    • DAU DCWF WRC 451 System Administrator - Intermediate Playlist

    • DISA (451) Training (Linux) DCWF Linux System Administrator

    • DISA (451) Training (Windows) DCWF Windows Systems Administrator

    • NEC 735A Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) Administrator-Software 3 and 4 (SW3/SW4)

    • NEC 737A Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) II Manager

    • NEC 738A Global Command and Control System-Maritime (GCCS-M) (Force Level 4.1) Increment 2 System Administrator

    • NEC C37A - Cryptologic Infrastructure Maintenance Technician

    • NEC C38A - Surface Cryptologic Carry-On Program (CCOP) Technician

    • NEC T04A SSGN Tactical Tomahawk Weapon System (TTWCS) Maintenance Technician

  • Journeyman toexpert-levelknowledge and understanding of Windows 10andWindows11.

  • Knowledge of computer network fundamentals.

  • Proficiencywith common productivity software,including Microsoft Office.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • CompTIA Security+certificationhighlypreferred.

  • Ideal Navy ratings include Information Systems Technicians (IT, ITS, ITN, orITS-Network).

  • An ideal candidate will also have experience:

    • As a RHEL 7/8 system administrator, and RHEL patching & security controls.
    • Software test development and execution.
    • Implementing STIGs on DoD Windows and Linux systems.
    • Knowledge of US Navy ship structure, organization, and amphibious operations.
