A Day In The Life The Warehouse Supervisor (Night shift), reporting to the Warehouse Manager, oversees daily warehouse and distribution center operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety. Responsibilities include managing inventory levels, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, supervising warehouse staff, and enforcing safety and quality standards. This role requires strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, along with hands-on experience in warehouse or logistics operations. The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to lead by example, effectively implement company policies and procedures, and drive continuous improvement in operational performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and a steadfast commitment to safety and quality are essential to success in this position.
As a Warehouse Supervisor (Night shift) you will:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely order fulfillment.
- Execute and continuously improve inventory control and quality assurance systems to maintain accurate stock levels and product integrity.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of all warehouse equipment and facilities in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor performance, manage inventory, and drive process improvements.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with associates, leadership, suppliers, and internal partners to support seamless operations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for efficiency and implement corrective actions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
- Plan and allocate resources including staffing, equipment, and materials to meet operational goals and service commitments.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff including leads and associates to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.
- Oversee staffing, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions in alignment with company policies and applicable laws.
- Build a collaborative, high-performing team environment focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- 5-7 years of related experience and or training
- Knowledge of vehicle processing operations including inbound and outbound logistics, accessory installation, and Toyota quality standards
- Understanding of Lean and Kaizen principles to drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste
- Familiarity with OSHA and environmental compliance requirements and GST safety programs
- Experience with warehouse management systems, barcode tracking, and inventory control for automotive parts
- Knowledge of production scheduling and workflow balancing to meet throughput goals
- Ability to lead and develop teams across shifts while promoting accountability and engagement
- Skill in identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks and implementing process improvements
- Strong communication and coordination across logistics, quality, and accessory teams to maintain smooth operations
- Capability to analyze operational data, track KPIs, and use metrics for performance improvement
- Commitment to driving a strong safety culture through daily practices and audits
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Skill in training and developing associates for performance and career growth
- Attention to detail to ensure vehicles meet GST's quality and readiness standards before shipment
