Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing concrete formwork projects from award through closeout-ensuring customer requirements are met while achieving operational, financial, and timeline targets. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the customer, Sales, Design/Estimating, and Operations, and ensures formwork is designed, fabricated, delivered, and supported successfully in the field.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage projects end-to-end, coordinating across Sales, Design, Estimating, Purchasing, Production, Delivery, and Field Support. Develop and manage critical project timelines; obtain customer approval and track progress through completion and customer satisfaction. Lead project kickoff and ongoing communication to confirm scope, dates, constraints, and formwork requirements (rental vs. sale, CNC/custom needs, architectural features, pour breaks, etc.). Review and approve formwork design/detail drawings prior to release; support internal technical reviews and customer approval cycles. Actively manage project-related inventory and equipment availability; collaborate with Operations and Rental leadership as needed. Monitor production progress, labor and cost alignment, and quality expectations; conduct regular plant visits and work-in-progress reviews. Coordinate shipping and jobsite delivery logistics; support initial deliveries and resolve schedule changes (weather, crane time, jobsite delays). Provide jobsite support as needed to ensure crews understand how to read UFP drawings and properly use formwork systems; document changes and ensure scope changes are captured and billed appropriately. Coordinate returns and closeouts for rental fleets, including damage/cleaning discussions and final billing support. Prepare post-project recaps for larger projects, including customer experience, operational feedback, and opportunities for improvement.
Required
3+ years of experience in project management, construction operations, formwork, or a related discipline. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and coordinate work across multiple functions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong communication skills with internal teams and external customers.
Preferred
Formwork background (field, operations, design, estimating, or project coordination). Experience supporting large civil or commercial projects (e.g., bridges, water/wastewater, high-rise, data centers, parking structures). Knowledge of concrete forming systems including shoring, gangs/walls, columns, platforms, and CNC/custom formwork solutions. Familiarity with UFP processes, systems, or product lines.
