Administrator Job Summary

The Director of Creative Services will oversee all creative aspects of the Dallas College brand alongside the Associate Deputy Chief of Creative Services. Collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization, they are responsible for elevating the Dallas College brand across all touchpoints. This role involves leading, mentoring, and inspiring an in-house creative team working on graphic design, digital and web design, social media, events, apparel, signage, UX design, and photo and video production. Key responsibilities include leading with creativity and curiosity, building and executing brand guidelines, spearheading creative marketing campaigns, and ensuring exceptional consistency and quality.This role directly impacts the success of future design thinking skills to help move Dallas College into the next phase of branding and as an important community organization.

Physical Requirements

Normal physical job functions performed within a standard office environment. Reasonable accommodation may be made for individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Advertising, Fine Arts, or a relevant creative field, along with leadership experience.

  • Minimum eight (8) years of in-house creative design experience as well as eight (8) years of proven experience in people management and development.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Creative Cloud).

  • Experience in creative project management (e.g., Workzone.com or related product).

  • Expertise in optimizing a Digital Asset Management system (DAM).

  • Strong portfolio showcasing brand, digital, social, art direction, typography, photo art direction, and visual identity. UX skills must be present in portfolio.

  • UX Design certification preferred; experience in XD, Figma or related platform preferred.

  • Photo and video shoot experience preferred.

  • Budget management experience.

  • Bilingual or multilingual preferred

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define business goals, create strategies, and deliver outstanding creative work.

  • Drive a strategic and conceptual approach to enhance creative output and business impact.

  • Introduce innovative thinking to our work.

  • Operate as a leader, fostering a strong team culture and inspiring creative excellence.

  • Manage team priorities and workstreams effectively.

  • Promote a collaborative, agile, and innovative environment.

  • Serve as a bridge between creative teams (both internal and external) and the business.

  • Maintain and manage consistency of brand design and voice across digital experiences.

  • Create an inclusive environment where team members can perform their best work.

  • Develop and mentor team members, ensuring their growth and professional development.

  • Implement strategic initiativesto drive the creative vision and business goals.

  • Track and report on performance metrics.

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment with business goals.

  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Completes required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
