What to Expect

Tesla's Energy and Charging Engineering organization is looking for a highly motivated program management department leader to manage multiple hardware and software program teams. This role will strategically manage OKR achievement for the organization, lead program execution methods, and actively facilitate and solve complex problems that hinder organizational objectives. You will be responsible for delivering Tesla's Energy and Charging product roadmap across 4 Tesla businesses: Residential Energy, Industrial Energy, Commercial Charging, and Vehicle engineering.

This role requires deep familiarity with hardware and software product development processes, a deep understanding of cross functional engineering challenges, strong executive level communication skills, and an even stronger active problem-solving mentality. You and your team will take programs from concept to production and actively maintain them through their entire product life cycle.


What You'll Do
  • Lead a team of product managers to direct cross functional product development activities
  • Track and deliver progress across a broad portfolio of products
  • Drive action and organizational focus on key issues
  • Manage the organizational communication plan
  • Partner with engineering leaders on active roadmap and portfolio management
  • Manage the product development process across the organization
  • Lead your team in the continuous improvement of program management processes
  • Create and maintain OKR metrics for the entire engineering organization

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in an Engineering field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of product development experience
  • 5+ years of program management experience across hardware and software programs
  • 3+ years of managing multiple teams, preferably multiple program management teams
  • Excellent executive level communication skills
  • Ability to work in a high-stakes, faced paced, and dynamic environment

    Expected Compensation
    $188,000 - $312,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
