What to Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Systems Manager to supportour Supply Chain Organization by leading the software development and deployment of artificial intelligence and machine learning powered solutions that transform Tesla supply chain operations. You will be part of a team that is managing strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across all of Tesla's Supply Chain Management Team. The role requires the ability to build strong cross-functional working relationships with our technical engineers, supply chain, finance, internal audit, and vendor onboarding teams, as you lead respective software development lifecycle from requirements articulation through feature deployment. You will interact with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including independent contributors as well as executives on a regular basis and hence require the ability to perform hands on operational tasks as well as strategize and communicate on longer term complex solutions. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing as well as presentation skills are crucial, as is the ability to synthesize complex issues, drive desired outcomes, and influence stakeholders across functions inside and outside Tesla.
What You'll Do
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI products in supply chain, identifying opportunities and aligning them with business operations and leadership goals
- Lead AI initiatives from ideation to deployment, including requirements gathering, model validation, feature prioritization, and iterative development, ensuring alignment with Tesla's strategic goals
- Document business requirements with supporting use cases, process workflows and dependencies, and propose technical solutions for respective products
- Partner with technical teams including data engineers, ML teams, IT software engineering to develop solutions to complex yet ambiguous strategic supply chain directives
- Program manage AI-enabled software rollouts, including user acceptance training (UAT), performance monitoring, and continuous iteration based on operational metrics and feedback
- Ensure AI solutions comply with ethical guidelines and Tesla's internal policies, maintaining transparency and accountability
What You'll Bring
Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability (eg. Information Systems Management, Computer Science) 5+ years of relevant work experience with evidence of successful AI/ML software product implementation throughout the software development lifecycle (e.g. software product manager) Strong understanding of machine learning workflows, model evaluation, and data governance, with experience using SQL, or visualization tools to track metrics Experience working across and successfully influencing multiple internal stakeholders (IT development, supply chain, finance, legal, etc.) Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with complex deadlines and large cross-functional stakeholder groups Exceptional concise communications, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills

Expected Compensation
$112,000 - $204,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
