ChristianaCare is looking for a Medical Assistant I for our UroGyn office.

Urogynecology is located at 4735 Ogletown Stanton Rd #1208, Newark, DE 19713. It is a specialized field focused on diagnosing and treating pelvic floor disorders affecting the bladder, uterus, vagina, and rectum. Our boardcertified physicians- the only urogynecologists in Delaware certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery-provide comprehensive care using physical therapy, medications, and surgical options ranging from minimally invasive to complex procedures. Patients may also have access to clinical research trials and innovative treatments

Work Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am- 4:30pm

• Monday and Wednesdays are in the Smyrna location

• Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays in the Newark location

Duties / Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant I greets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.

• A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
