Southwestern Pennsylvania Water Authority will be accepting employment applications until February 17, 2026 at our Jefferson Office or online. WATER PLANT OPERATOR
Responsibilities to include: Operation, maintenance, control and repair of plant water processing equipment. Monitoring of water demands and adjusting flow, performing routine laboratory analysis and interpreting test results to determine processing requirements. Additional responsibilities to include, performing routine grounds keeping functions and custodial duties, as well as any other duties assigned by management. Applicant must be able to work all shifts, holidays, and, weekends when required.
Required Education/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: High School diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. If the applicant does not have a CDL or current water operator license they must be able to meet the Authority's requirements to obtain a CDL and water operator license. Applicants should also have basic knowledge of computers, know how to use power tools, and lift 25-50 lbs. repetitively. Preferred Education/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: Post-high school education in biology or chemistry, CDL, familiarization with computers and data entry, as well as the ability to read construction drawings . provided by The Herald-Standard recblid lm3s9se5pywcu52mbbocns91xss51e | |
