Senior Vascular Sonographer, Full-Time

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on-the-job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.

Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience

Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Certification: ARDMS (RVT) or CCI(RVS) or ARRT(RVS); Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Capability to make informed decisions regarding imaging procedures, patient care, and team management.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Knowledge in producing diagnostic images proficiently with the ability to recognize technical abnormalities.
• Proficient knowledge in producing diagnostic images with the ability to recognize technical abnormalities
• Knowledge of a variety of advanced procedures as applicable
• Knowledge of safe & proper machine operation.
• Knowledge of machine emergency procedures and radiation safety procedures.
• Knowledge of protocols and ability to make adjustments as needed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements:

* Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

* Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

* Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum
