Amplify is seeking an Associate Director of Corporate Development & Investor Relations to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Development, this role will play a critical part in shaping Amplify's growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and investor engagement. The Associate Director will lead all efforts to source and execute transactions, while also serving as a key point of contact for Amplify's investors.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive Amplify's M&A and strategic partnerships strategy and execution, including sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, and transaction management.

  • Lead negotiations with counterpart executives, aligning deal structures with Amplify's strategic and financial priorities.

  • Identify and assess new market opportunities and competitive dynamics across the EdTech landscape to inform long-term growth strategy.

  • Author and present investment memoranda that synthesize cross-functional insights and guide decisions by Amplify's board and investors.

  • Oversee Amplify's capital raising and investor relations activities, including investor presentations, fundraising processes, diligence, and shareholder reporting.

  • Partner with senior executives and investors to design and execute an enhanced investor reporting framework that elevates transparency and engagement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or management consulting

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and closing complex projects

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting principles

  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides

  • Direct experience working with C-level executives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to dive into granular analysis while maintaining a broader strategic perspective

  • Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results

  • Excellent communication skills-in person, oral, written, and through presentation materials-suitable for engagement with senior leadership, shareholders, business partners, and potential acquisition targets

  • Proven ability to manage processes and collaborate effectively cross-functionally to ensure smooth and efficient project execution

What we offer:

Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
