National Technical Training Manager - ECP

This position is responsible for leading technical training initiatives within our independent eye care profession (iECP) channel. They will develop and deliver training programs for internal teams and customers, equipping them with the knowledge and strategies needed to optimize patient care, product positioning, and business growth. Additionally, this role will be responsible for developing and delivering continuing education (ABO/NCLE) credits. This position will directly report to the Sr. Mgr. Professional Engagement with the following responsibilities:

National Technical Training Manager:

  • Develop and Deliver Training: Create and conduct engaging in-person and virtual training sessions on new and existing products for internal teams, independent eye care professionals (iECPs), and customers.
  • Training Program Management: Lead annual and ongoing training initiatives, including new product launches, advanced optical technologies, and professional development for the iECP sales and training teams.
  • iECP and Sales Team Support: Provide specialized training for iECPs, customer service, and sales representatives to enhance product knowledge, improve customer engagement, and drive sales performance.
  • Content Development: Assist with designing and updating technical and marketing materials to support training efforts, ensuring relevance and effectiveness for all audiences.
  • Continuing Education: Deliver ABO approved courses to iECPs virtually and in-person at various trade shows throughout the year.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME): Collaborate with the HR Learning & Development, product development, R&D, global training, and various other teams as the SME for the iECP channel.

Key Capabilities/Experiences

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3 - 5 years of training experience, particularly within the optical industry

  • Knowledge of current optical technologies, products, and market trends.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful training programs.

  • Strong presentation, facilitation and webinar skills

  • Strong commercial background and understands retail strategies to drive growth

  • Organization and planning skills; Ability to prioritize and work independently

  • Strong personal and communication skills

  • Project management skills

Bonus Capabilities/ Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as an optician

  • ABO Certified

  • Certified or licensed optician

  • Understanding of PowerPoint

  • Public speaking skills
