0082 - CMA Warehouse - GNTB - GENERAL TECHNICIAN B

TITLE: General Technician B

POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position requires at least one year of experience on present job and can work alone with limited help. Oversees all daily operations of CMA w/h entry areas and inside CMA w/h areas perform regular PM, emergency back-up, assigned projects, and THM responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational education is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Forklift trained/driving certificate.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform scheduled PM work orders.
• Perform assignments from supervisor/top managers.
• Perform emergency repair work.
• Assist operators on operation difficulty.
• Maintain assigned THM areas
• Capable to operate forklift for project/assignment needs.
• Complete all paperwork requested by the department.
• Comply with the company/dept safety requirements.
• Capable of overtime, emergency call-out, and rotating scheduled shift if work is needed.
• Perform the job without supervision.
• Capable perform mechanical and electrical work with/without help.
• Follow oral or written instructions from higher management.
• Work and cooperate with dept operators/technicians.
• Safety sensitivity needed.
• Capable to read metric and standard measurements correctly.

TRAINING:

• Basic electrical training required.

AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING:

• This position has authority over all CMA auto-warehouse entry/exit areas for damaged parts check-out and safety operation issues shutdown.
• Decision-making will be expected concerning all activities of the CMA auto-warehouse entry/exit operation.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:

• Forklift and manlift.
• Applied self-made tools.
• Multi-meter.
• Electrical/mechanical-related instrument.
• Work-related hand tools.
• Desktop computer.
• MS Word.
• MS Excel.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Climb up/down between the machines.
• Go up to 50 ft for check-ups once in a while with machines.

VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Safety glasses.
