PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Returns Clerk provides administrative support for the delivery, receipt, processing, and shipping of returns merchandise.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Performs various administrative responsibilities related to receiving and shipping returned product, including but not limited to:
    • Bill-of-lading management
    • Aged transfer resolution
    • Return-to-store label generation
    • Schedules delivery and pick-up appointments.
    • Requests, monitors and receives purchase orders from the Support Center
  • Researches inventory issues; physically checking and creating warehouse storage locations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

  • 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred experience with musical instruments and/or instrument knowledge.
  • Novice proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Novice proficiency with standard business applications such as the internet and email with an aptitude to learn systems used in an automated warehouse environment (PkMS, Smart Info,etc.).
  • Novice knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word-processing, managing files and records, spreadsheet creation, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Collaboration: Able to develop cooperation and teamwork while participating in a group, working toward solutions which generally benefit all involved parties. Able to build relationships with others by offering help and providing suggestions for improvement.

Physical Functions: Lifting 25%, Walking 10%, Standing 10%, Sitting 70%

  • Continuous mental and/or visual attention required. The work is either repetitive or diversified, requiring constant alertness to monitor the process.
  • Must be flexible to working overtime, which is sometimes mandatory.

EQUIPMENT USED

  • Basic office equipment such as a computer, copier, printer, and telephone.
  • Standard office and computer equipment including MS Office software.
  • Standard warehouse machinery and equipment as well as personal protection equipment such as closed shoes, gloves (provided and recommended, but not required), black belts (provided - required for lifting over 25 lbs.), and harnesses (provided - required depending on type of powered equipment).

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Warehouse environment:
    • Hot conditions during summer months and cold conditions in the winter months.
    • Noise level varies and can be loud
    • Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts and equipment
    • Very fast-paced environment
