Description

The Production Associate will be in charge of ordering bound galleys, and marketing materials for five imprints, handling approximately 15-20 paperback conversions across two or three imprints, as well as handling various administrative duties.

What you'll do:



  • Order marketing materials (bound galleys/ARC's) for Celadon, Flatiron, FSG, Holt, and Picador.
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors for composition, book components, and manufacturing for small paperback conversion list.
  • Communicate paper requirements and review paper specs in a timely manner with paper manager.
  • Review and route production materials among Interior Design, Jacket Design, Managing Editorial, Production Editorial, and vendors.
  • Communicate with text designers, production editors, managing editors, jacket designers, other in-house departments and vendors as needed as it concerns schedules, query solutions and issues impacting budget and quality.
  • Handle any administrative duties that may come up.


What you'll bring:



  • 1-2 years of book production experience.
  • Basic knowledge of book production and manufacturing.


Ideal Experience:



  • Working knowledge of Biblio, RSuite and Google platform


This role will have an annual salary of $55k-$58k.
