Job Overview & Responsibilities

Ethics Officer responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Coaching and educating employees, business partners and leaders to ensure consistent application of the company's Ethics and Business Conduct policy and Code of Conduct.
  • Managing and investigating employee concerns and allegations of misconduct.
  • Developing enterprise communications and ethics and compliance training material.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of the company's compliance management processes and overseeing the compliance risk management process.
  • Performing analysis related to ethical and compliance performance trends and conducts root cause analysis to identify and mitigate business risks.
  • Developing processes and procedures for conducting business in accordance with the company's ethical standards and in full compliance with applicable law, regulations, all internal policies and the Code of Conduct.
  • Coordinating with Legal Counsel and Human Resources as required.
  • Maintaining healthy business relationships with external regulatory entities.
  • Contributes to the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the Ethics and Compliance organization.
  • Participates in the development of organizational policies for the enterprise.
  • Representing the Ethics organization as a prime contact on projects.



The Ethics Officer reports to the Director of Ethics and Compliance.



Required Education


Bachelor



Required Years of Experience


Minimum of 6 years of related work experience



Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 6 years' experience in counseling, human resources, legal, management, team leadership or policy governance role.
  • 6 years' experience in conducting investigations.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish/maintain an atmosphere of trust with customers, external vendors, and ULA business partners.
  • Experience independently developing solutions to a variety of complex problems requiring interpretation of guidelines and modification of standard techniques and the regular use of ingenuity and innovation to define and resolve unusual issues.

  • Demonstrated ability/confidence to resolve unique problems via solutions that serve as precedent for future decisions.
  • Experience assessing risks associated with corporate policy compliance.

  • Experience building and fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to use effective two-way communication in written, graphic and verbal capacities.
  • Ability to employ effective influence and negotiation skills to lead change and overcome resistance.



Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in social sciences related field (e.g. Human Resource, Psychology, Sociology, etc.)
  • Master's Degree
  • 10 years' experience in counseling, human resources, legal, management, team leadership or policy governance role.
  • 10 years' experience in conducting investigations.
  • Experience working in Aerospace and/or DoD environment.
  • Experience working in an industry with significant amount of regulations.
  • Ability to build strong rapport and collaborative relationships with people at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to influence and challenge colleagues, partners and customers while maintaining a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to build and lead a "values-based culture" focused on the creation of business value for the ULA enterprise.

Summary Salary Range (forULA - Denver, ULA - Cape Canaveralonly): $97,001.00 - $161,668.00

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.

Additionally, most salaried ULA team members work a "9/80 schedule," meaning they enjoy every other Friday off.
