We're evolving how engineers build, review, validate, deploy, and operate software by combining best-in-class AI tooling with strong technical standards and scalable operating mechanisms. Our AI Native Software Engineering effort is focused first on making software engineering across Pinterest's mono-repos, AI native while accelerating existing productivity investments. What You'll Do Lead company-wide programs that improve developer productivity through AI-assisted coding, validation, code review, and deployment safety. Drive the roadmap and operating model for AI-native engineering practices across Pinterest. Partner with engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams to standardize best practices for AI-assisted development workflows. Define and operationalize scorecards, metrics, and guardrails across productivity, adoption, quality, reliability, and cost. Navigate ambiguity, align senior stakeholders, and turn emerging opportunities into durable multi-quarter execution plans. Communicate progress, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior technical and executive audiences. What We're Looking For Significant experience leading large, cross-functional technical programs with company-level impact. Strong technical fluency in developer workflows, engineering systems, platform/tooling, or software infrastructure. Track record driving engineering productivity or transformation programs across multiple organizations. Excellent judgment in balancing speed, quality, safety, and cost. Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive influence skills. Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, developer agents, platform adoption, or software delivery transformation is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field or equivalent experience. This is a rare opportunity to help define how software gets built at Pinterest in the AI era. In-Office Requirement Statement: We recognize that the ideal environment for work is situational and may differ across departments. What this looks like day-to-day can vary based on the needs of each organization or role. Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
