Position Overview:

Within a culture of
empowerment, this role manages fiduciary relationships with proactive
diligence, adhering to the governing document and regulatory standards. The
Trust Advisor II serves the needs of clients and beneficiaries by providing the
full extent of the exceptional Broadway client experience. This role actively
seeks opportunities to add value to clients and prospects by understanding
their comprehensive financial situations and leveraging the Bank's full
capabilities. It operates within a collaborative environment, working closely
with bank partners as part of a larger team to serve clients or beneficiaries
in a comprehensive and consultative manner.

Essential Functions:

Fiduciary
Relationship Management

  • Maintain and enhance relationships with clients and their families to maximize the lifetime value of these relationships.
  • Proactively offer a full range of financial and banking services, collaborating with specialists across the organization to best serve client needs.
  • Build loyalty and drive revenue growth through effective client relationship management, including resolving immediate client concerns, cultivating new business opportunities, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.

Client Engagement and Solutions

  • Develop and execute targeted client retention and expansion strategies, ensuring the identification and development of high-value relationships.
  • Establish rapport with clients and their advisors, demonstrating strong solution-oriented sales and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with external advisors, such as CPAs and attorneys, to ensure a holistic approach to financial planning and trust management.

Fiduciary Principles and Regulatory
Compliance

  • Maintain command of fiduciary principles and regulatory requirements, including fiduciary taxation, securities transfers, community property, and state and federal laws governing trusts, foundations, estates, and investments.
  • Apply fiduciary and estate planning strategies, ensuring that actions align with the interests of beneficiaries and remaindermen, while minimizing risk to the Bank.

Account Management

  • Review and interpret governing documents, ensuring that required actions appropriately balance beneficiary interests, protect account assets, and minimize risk.
  • Oversee account transactions, including distributions, purchases and sales of securities, tax payments, and other activities to ensure compliance with the governing document and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, initiate account openings and closings, and manage all aspects of fiduciary account administration.

Risk Management

  • Manage risk associated with fiduciary duties, protecting the Bank from liability.
  • Communicate fiduciary planning strategies effectively and tactfully with clients, prospects, and their advisors.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Supervise associates involved in relationship management, providing coaching and mentoring to help them achieve their career potential.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating teamwork, initiative, and service excellence.

Client Acquisition and Advocacy

  • Actively identify new opportunities to offer the Bank's full suite of services to new and existing clients.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Bank, embracing Broadway Bank values and fostering client loyalty.

Community Engagement and Networking

  • Cultivate relationships with estate planning professionals to generate referrals for Broadway and Wealth Management services.
  • Serve in community leadership roles, including board positions for non-profit organizations or business-related disciplines.
  • Participate in public speaking engagements, media interviews, and educational seminars.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Foster collaborative relationships within the organization to support comprehensive client service delivery.
  • Deliver consistent messaging across all service channels, ensuring alignment with the Broadway Client Experience.

Assist in Wealth Management

  • Provide support
    across all areas of Wealth Management, ensuring that the full breadth of
    services is available to clients and prospects.
  • This
    position may require travel within the Bank's geographic area.


Experience & Education:

  • 4+years
    of fiduciary experience in personal trusts or 5 years of legal, financial
    planning, or related experience; 5-10 years preferred.
  • Demonstrated
    understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proven
    ability to positively interact with high-level clients and bank employees
    at all levels.
  • A
    relationship banking philosophy, emphasizing long-term, client-focused
    engagements rather than transactional relationships.
  • Experience in Commercial Banking, Retail, Private or Business Banking, or Wealth Management/Trust Administration is a plus.
  • 4-year college degree from an accredited university, with an emphasis in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • A law degree, or a profession designation such as a Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is a plus.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Broad knowledge of financial services, operational procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships, leveraging a relationship banking approach.
  • Proven knowledge of fiduciary laws and estate planning strategies.
  • Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms.
  • Experience using handheld electronic devices (e.g., iPhone, iPad) and financial calculators.
  • Strong command of fiduciary account management principles and risk management strategies.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members to foster professional growth.

Other Requirements:

  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as 10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday.
  • Occasional overtime or extended hours may be required.
