The Team

AQR is seeking a full-time Manager to join our U.S. Wealth Team, within the Business Development group. The Business Development group works with AQR's clients in North America, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East to provide solutions to achieve their investment objectives. AQR clients include a cross-section of the world's largest institutional investors, including public and corporate pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and foundations and endowments. AQR also serves the private-wealth community and Registered Investment Advisors.

U.S. Wealth - The U.S. Wealth group engages with taxable U.S. investors and their advisors. The group is responsible for education, awareness, and managing new and existing client relationships for AQR strategies through dedicated coverage across the Family Office community, Registered Investment Advisors, and elite advisors and teams within the major Broker-Dealer segment.

This role oversees the Internal Sales Associates who support distribution across the Independent Broker-Dealer and Wirehouse channels, ensuring excellence in advisor engagement, sales activity, and partnership with external relationship managers.



  • U.S. Wealth - The U.S. Wealth group was created to engage with taxable U.S. investors and their advisors. The group is responsible for education, awareness and managing new and current client relationships for AQR strategies through dedicated coverage to the Family Office community, Registered Investment Advisor community, as well as elite advisors and teams within the major Broker-Dealer segment.



Your Role

As the Internal Sales Desk Manager, you will lead a team responsible for delivering high-quality sales and advisor support across key wealth distribution channels. You will provide strategic direction, coaching, and operational discipline to ensure the Internal Sales Desk plays a pivotal role in advisor education, client servicing, and driving new business.

You will:



  • Lead, manage, and mentor Internal Sales Associates, supporting their professional development, product expertise, and sales effectiveness.
  • Partner with external relationship managers to design and execute coordinated territory strategies across Independent Broker-Dealer and Wirehouse networks.
  • Oversee the team's inbound and outbound advisor engagement, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate messaging, and high-quality interactions.
  • Guide the creation and delivery of analytics, presentations, and client materials to support advisor meetings and sales campaigns.
  • Use sales reports, CRM tools, and data-driven insights to prioritize advisor opportunities, monitor pipeline, and enhance coverage efficiency.
  • Uphold rigorous CRM standards and ensure consistent tracking of advisor interactions, opportunities, and activities.
  • Work cross-functionally with Portfolio Management, Portfolio Solutions, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Risk, and Trading to resolve client requests and ensure messaging accuracy.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex advisor questions and product positioning discussions.
  • Contribute to team-wide initiatives to enhance sales processes, improve service delivery, and strengthen the overall effectiveness of the Wealth channel.
  • Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the Internal Sales Desk.



What You'll Bring



  • A Bachelor's degree: concentrations in Economics, Finance, Marketing, or Business preferred.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience at an investment or asset management firm, with a track record of success in internal sales, advisor engagement, and driving revenue outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or mentoring a team, ideally within a sales or client-facing environment.
  • Deep understanding of wealth distribution channels, especially Independent Broker-Dealer and major Wirehouse firms.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63/66 required or obtained shortly after hire.

The salary range for this role is expected to be $175,000 to $195,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is accurate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending upon factors such as skills, experience, location, or other business and organizational needs. This wage range may also be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
