Enterprise Architect As the Enterprise Architect you will play a critical role in the development of Arcwood's digital transformation roadmap, designing, and overseeing the organization's IT landscape to align with business goals. This role will act as a strategic advisor to organizational leadership, a bridge between the business and the IT function, and a catalyst for change by driving modernization, reliability and scalability for a growing organization undergoing significant technological transformations. Successful candidates will have strong communication skills to effectively present complex architecture concepts and influence decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups. Essential Functions & Requirements:
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Conducts analysis of current landscape and identifies existing gaps and opportunities for immediate and long-term improvement
- Coordinates with functional and organizational leaders and translates business transformation objectives into actionable architecture blueprints; ensures alignment between technological abilities and strategic initiatives
- Serves as a key leader in the selection, design and integration of new solutions that complement current Arcwood processes and systems
- Provides oversight to systems, processes and infrastructure, ensuring changes are integrated effectively, reliably, to scale, and align with security and cost efficiency needs
- Supports the development of governance processes for managing enterprise data, solutions, and infrastructure portfolios; provides fact-based recommendations to support investment decisions, portfolio planning and technology rationalization
- Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation of the enterprise architecture, including models, standards and guidelines
- Stays updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovations in IT architecture
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (required)
- Master's degree (preferred)
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture (required)
- 5+ years of experience in other IT roles including application development or data management (preferred)
- Previous experience engaging in multiple enterprise projects operating in parallel with varying levels of complexity (required)
- Previous experience working in private equity or a high-growth environment (preferred)
- Previous experience participating in M&A IT programs (preferred)
Competencies:
- Proficiency in various architecture frameworks and methodologies, as well as experience with and knowledge of cloud technologies, databases and enterprise applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex systems and identify areas for improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and work under tight deadlines
- Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
