The RoleThe Event Services intern will support all aspects of the Event Services operation at the National Tennis Center in preparation for the 2026 US Open. These include, but are not limited to, the following: National Tennis Center Site Preparation
    Collaborate with Facility Operations to ensure all guest-facing areas are prepped and ready for events
  • Update and monitor all of Guest Services' supply inventory and communicate re-order needs as appropriate
  • Collaborate with the Event Ops team to facilitate deployment of all turnstiles, crowd control barriers, guard shacks, etc.
  • In collaboration with HR and the Event Services team, coordinate radio rental needs for the event
  • Work with the Finance and Events teams to set up all Baggage structures in advance of the event
US Open Guest Services Team
  • Work with the Manager, Community Relations and Events, and NTC HR to ensure frontline team members have the necessary resources daily
  • Understand all Guest Services Team Member functions and be ready to fulfill any role as needed throughout the tournament (ticket taking, at capacity situations, etc.)
  • Participate in Guest Services training development and provide support as necessary, including deck build and participating
  • Ensure daily tasks for the Guest Services Team (re-entry stamps, beverage orders, etc.) are completed
  • Provide operational support for US Open Guest Services Training sessions as needed
Community Relations
  • Assist in the coordination of various community relations initiatives (back-to-school kits, Queens Day, job fairs, and all USO community relations initiatives)
Event Services
  • Provide support as needed for all events onsite
  • Other duties as assigned
Program details:
  • 8-week program from June 9 through August 11 opportunity to extend until September 18.
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM ET
  • Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site at the BJK National Tennis Center.
  • Compensation: $20.00 per hour

  • An innovative thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and strong project management skills
  • Strong work ethic, team-oriented attitude, and enthusiastic about contributing to the success of the events
  • Tech Savvy with proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Google Suite)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work long and consecutive days
  • Must have a "hands-on" approach and be willing and able to perform physical tasks as needed (signage deployment, beverage deliveries, event set-ups)
