The RoleThe NTC Tennis Programs intern will serve as a key collaborator within the National Tennis Center (NTC) Tennis Programs Department, gaining hands-on experience in marketing, leadership, and program operations. Acting as a liaison between NTC Tennis Programs Leadership and the NTC Junior Pros, the intern will play an important role in supporting the success of our 7-week Summer Tennis Camp. This role provides valuable exposure to a professional team environment and offers daily interaction with NTC Pro Staff, junior players, summer campers, and departmental leadership.
    Create weekly player and pro court placements in collaboration with NTC Tennis Leadership
  • Attend weekly court placement sessions and guide Junior Pros and players to assigned courts
  • Present regularly in verbal and large-group settings, providing clear communication and direction
  • Coordinate and resolve scheduling conflicts for NTC Junior Pros
  • Produce weekly proposals for Junior Pro schedules for the Director of Tennis
  • Communicate the approved Junior Pro schedules weekly
  • Collaborate with the Programs Team on marketing initiatives and internal camp logistics (e.g., lunch oversight, activity coordination)
Program details:
  • 8-week program from June 9 through August 11
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM ET
  • Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site at the BJK National Tennis Center.
  • Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Who You Are
  • Proficient in Google Suite, especially Google Sheets
  • Able to understand junior tennis progressions (preferred but not required)
  • Skilled with social media platforms and capable of contributing to content development
  • Familiar with Canva and Smartsheet
  • Comfortable managing small groups and providing clear direction
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, proactive, and eager to develop leadership skills in a sports-focused environment
