Job Summary:

The Statistical Analyst will provide analytical and data management support for research projects focused on identifying risk and protective factors for suicidality using large-scale electronic health records (EHR) and neighborhood-level data from census sources or surveys. The analyst will be responsible for data cleaning, integration, and statistical modeling, as well as generating analytic datasets and visualizations to support publications and grant submissions. This position requires expertise in data programming (SQL and R), statistical techniques (spatial analysis, machine learning, and factor analysis), and familiarity with working in secure data environments. The analyst will work closely with the Principal Investigator and research collaborators to ensure the timely and rigorous execution of study aims.

Specific Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Manages and plans for data/analysis requests and projects

Administration

  • Reviews reports before presentation to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Develops and maintains documentation of process for quality assurance and reporting methodology

Development

  • Develops queries and quality metrics.
  • Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex statistical analysis.
  • Determines data structure for local datasets.

Supervises

  • Manages projects ensuring timelines and deliverables are met and meet expectations.

Miscellaneous

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as biostatistics, statistics, public health (with a focus in biostatistics or epidemiology) or related with 4 years of data analysis/report writing or similar experience required; OR appropriate combination of education and experience; OR

  • Successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a master's or higher degree in a major such as biostatistics, statistics, public health (with a focus in biostatistics or epidemiology) or related with 2 years of data analysis/report writing or similar experience required; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.

Target hiring range for this position will be between $70,017- $88,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
