Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Intern to support general upkeep of our building and workspace. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with tools, and contributing to a clean, functional, and safe environment. The intern will assist with basic maintenance tasks, small projects, painting, and workspace configuration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, touch-ups, and facility checks.
  • Perform painting and prep work, including surface cleaning, taping, and applying finishes.
  • Support light construction tasks such as assembling furniture, minor carpentry, installing shelves, and mounting fixtures.
  • Aid in cubicle setup and configuration, including moving panels, adjusting layouts, and installing accessories.
  • Help maintain an organized tool room, supply inventory, and materials.
  • Assist with workspace moves, including transporting equipment, boxes, and office furniture.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and safe during and after projects.
  • Follow all company safety and cleanroom procedures and report hazards immediately.
  • Support the Facilities team with other tasks as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a AS degree or trades based certification in building maintenance or a related field.
  • Interest in maintenance, construction, facilities management, or similar hands-on work.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and willingness to learn.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction well.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in Colorado, is $17-21/hr.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
