Job Description:

Microchip Technology is seeking an Engineer I - Test to join our Networking and Connectivity Solutions (NCS) division based in Austin, Texas.

Successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Develop and validate ATE test programs for semiconductor devices.
  • Perform device characterization, correlation, and yield analysis.
  • Debug test failures and collaborate with design, product, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
  • Optimize test programs for cycle time and cost efficiency.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and qualification activities.
  • Document test procedures and maintain version control for test programs.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • 0 - 3 years of related work experience

Technical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of semiconductor devices and test methodologies.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
  • Knowledge of ATE platforms (e.g., Teradyne, Cohu Dmdx,Fusion) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
