Test Automation Controls Engineer, Energy Products

• Build back-end Python architectures and front-end JS interfaces for automated test systems
• Develop Python-based hardware controls, data pipelines, and analysis tools for each product line
• Define BOMs,componentselections, and hardware automation specifications
• Capture controls schematics in AutoCAD
• Design PCBs in Altium for custom test hardware
• Work with technicians and CMs to build andvalidatepanels, wiring, and PLC/I/O/DAQ integration
• Integrate firmware with custom PCBs and test hardware; own bring-up and debugging
• Troubleshoot hardware, automation, and infrastructure issues and improve system reliability

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years building hardware automation systems
• Strong Python experience for hardware control, data collection, and analysis
• Altium experience (schematic, layout, PCB design)
• Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals and electro-mechanical design
• Experience with PLCs, motion control, DAQs, and hardware protocols (SPI, I2C, UART)
