Work Shift: Salary Exempt (United States of America) The Site Integrated Planner is a proactive, strategic thinker whose skills contribute to the efficient, systematic and profitable operation of the manufacturing plant. Responsible for creating production plans and schedules and coordinating materials and workforce to build our products on-time, and at the highest level of quality. The role includes evaluation and analysis of data, coordination with sales, production and materials teams, and resolving issues to ensure delivery of finished goods and service product.
- Create efficient planning and scheduling processes or methods to attain production goals.
- Ceate daily, weekly and monthly build schedules for the production lines.
- Assess current finished products inventory to determine additional needs and or disposition of excess and items held for rework.
- Review packaging and ingredient inventory to ensure needed supplies are available for production of the schedule.
- Identify, measure and report Key metrics which drive customer needs such as on time in full, produced vs. scheduled and target inventory levels.
- Enter the needed production orders into planning software.
- Schedule materials into the facility from third party warehouses to support the schedule.
- Update the system planning parameters.
- Monitor work progress throughout the day to ensure production is on track to the daily schedule and communicate with Customer Service any foreseen issues of meeting the customer orders.
- Working directly with the Demand Planning Manager, Customer Service, Sales Operations, Sales, Product Management and Operations Management to determine appropriate production schedules that best meet customer and sales demand.
- Generate revisions to the schedule due to variations in raw materials, production and customer needs.
- Establish manufacturing lead-time on regular orders to meet delivery dates for new orders.
- Review new sales/production opportunities to determine if they meet plant capacities and capabilities.
- Work directly with procurement team to schedule material delivery from storage or suppliers.
- Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
Qualifications: -Performs other related duties as assigned. -Generates management reports and completes analysis of packaging metrics. -Participates as a member of the Plant Operations Leadership Team and serves on special project teams as needed. -Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, participating in professional organization. Back Up: The Demand Planning Manager is the back up to the Site Integrated Planner.
- - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing Supply Chain or directly related field a plus
- 3 to 5 years of advance planning (finished goods / final product) experience.
- 3+ years production raw materials planning, or analyst experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience scheduling in a bottle production environment preferred.
- Proven ability to problem solve complex issues that arise from inventory, capacity and / or ERP systems.
- APICS or CPM certification a plus.
- Must have strong working knowledge of Food Safety and Regulatory business standards, practices, policies, procedures and state and federal laws and regulations including but not limited to HACCP, GMP's, SSOP's, OSHA and Labor Laws.
- Knowledge of all aspects of plant operations and management; including scheduling, processing, packaging, material flow, inventory, efficiency management, cost control, capacity planning, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools (Kaizens, improvement workshops, etc.), and continuous improvement techniques.
- High level of proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivots, if/then).
- Knowledge of mathematics and statistical data analysis.
- Self-starter who seeks out ways to improve processes and drive standard work.
- Ability to be effective in a fast paced, metric driven environment.
- Solid understanding of materials flow and inventory signals (MRP, Kanban, Min/Max).
- Excellent verbal and written communication (role is both vendor and internal customer-facing).
- Working knowledge of Quality preferred.
